Therapeutic Orientation and Philosophy
Welcome
Angelina Renes uses an integrative approach that draws on a range of psychological models and eastern-based philosophy in order to provide treatment that is tailored to each unique individual or couple. She includes the whole person - as mind/body/spirit - within the context of family, culture, and social environment. She welcomes her clients as active participants in their therapy.
She is flexible in her approach, choosing treatment methods that best fit your situation including your; age and life-stage, religion or non-religious status, ethnicity, social class, sexual orientation, national or non-national status, indigenous background, and gender amongst other considerations.
Angelina brings over forty years of eastern-based study and meditation to her work. She teaches mindfulness-based approaches that focus on here-and-now experience of life. You will learn tools that continue to benefit you after therapy is over. She sees healing in psychotherapy as a route to insight and personal growth. In addition to her credentials and experience as a psychotherapist, Angelina has studied Integral Theory for two decades, and she has solid national and international working experience with diversity and culture.
“This is important work and your comfort and safety are important to me. So please don’t hesitate to ask questions or express concerns as we enter into this work together.”
